LEGALITIES & ARTIST GUIDELINES  FOR USAGE OF ARTWORK

Please respect the dedication and time CC Treadway gives to her artwork, and abide by copyright laws and artist guidelines, before considering using images or writing. If, after reading below,  you have questions whether your intended use is permitted, please inquire via email.

COPYWRITE

​

Regardless of any usage, licensing, commissions or permissions, CC Treadway retains SOLE copyright of her artwork, and any further use or reproductions. Further use of her images beyond original agreement, must be re-negotiated.

LIMITED USE ON A WEBSITE:

You are permitted to use ONE image on your personal (non-commercial) website as long as a link to www.cctreadway.com is visible WITH the image.

​

*Images may not be used on web sites deemed inappropriate by artist.

​

*Images may not be modified, colored, animated, cropped, adapted, collaged, or altered in any way.

​

COMMISSIONED PAINTINGS:

​

CC retains full copywrite of the original image for commissioned work, and retains sole rights to make prints and products from her work. Owners of painting do not have permission to copy, distribute or profit from her work in any way except for re-selling original painting. Owners of original painting must contact CC first before re-selling.

SOCIAL MEDIA AVATAR/ PROFILE-PICTURE/ IG/ FB / PINTEREST etc:

You are welcome to use images in this way, but must have the CC Treadway’s website clearly visible in description. 

Use in any commercial pages or groups is NOT permitted without permission (licensing fee may be required)

WORKSHOP OR LECTURE

You may use images by CC Treadway in your workshop, lecture, or presentation, as long as you provide a credit the artist and give the website “cctreadway.com” while the artwork is displayed.
 

Images may be copied from a book or internet but may only be used for the purpose of the lecture or workshop. 

Fliers, physical print-outs or reproductions of any kind are NOT permitted.
 

You may not use images by CC Treadway as part of presentations or courses to be offered for sale without permission and licensing fee.

MAGAZINES, BOOKS, ETC:

If art is intended to accompany an interview or article featuring or discussing CC Treadway’s artwork, please contact CC Treadway to discuss project, and, if opportunity is mutually beneficial, she will provide jpegs free of charge.

LICENSING INQUIRIES FOR COMMERCIAL WORK:

​

To use CC Treadway’s artwork in your commercial project, contact her. Rates start at $300 per image and can go up to $15k, depending on scope of project.

NON PROFIT EVENTS:

For use in nonprofit projects/events/publications, please contact CC Treadway to discuss terms and collaborative potential.

TATTOOS:

​

You may use CC Treadway’s art for a tattoo free of charge. Please Send a good quality photo of the finished tattoo with your name.

PERMISSION FOR USE IS NOT GRANTED FOR:

​

CC Treadway does NOT grant permission of reproduction rights for the use of her art on material such as brochures, business cards, pamphlets, that promote a private practice of any kind, unless with written permission (licensing fee may be required).

​

Permission is not granted for reproduction rights for use in self-published books, workbooks or CD’s, without written permission (licensing fee may be required).

​
