If you have a job or relationship where you feel like you are leaving half, if not more of yourself, at home, or in the ethers, you may not be prepared for the level of presence and intimacy required to show up for a life lived from your inner passion.
Back in ’06 when I first started my official practice, I actually just couldn’t believe how much more of me was required each day.
I needed my checkout time!
It’s important to know that as much as there are negative reasons we end up in unfulfilling jobs and relationships, there is also an intelligence to our systems, and our timing that must be honored.
When I work with clients who are making this massive shift from unsatisfied employee to practicing healer, they are often overwhelmed at what it takes.
And it usually takes longer than expected.
The path of a healer in today’s world is no longer as uncharted as when I began, there is a way, but it still requires tremendous personal growth, and clearing karma through ancestral heritage and many timelines.
It can be a blind process.
Most healers have a difficult time with finances at first, because while being rich is celebrated in this culture, it’s also reviled.
If you are helping others with any kind of spirituality involved, there is a lot of stigma in bringing money into the equation.
This dilemma can make it very hard for healers to create security in their financial present and future, which, when you think about it, is pretty messed up.
Sometimes people find after a time of running a healing practice they don’t want to do it at all. Truly, it’s the hardest job I’ve ever had, it is also the most fulfilling.
It requires not just your full presence, but an extreme amount of self care and support.
As far as I can tell, being a healer is a calling.
It’s very hard to turn away from. I remember, in the inter-life, making the choice for this life path, and the energy stream I incarnated through to make it happen. It was so powerful and intense, and I could see and feel the souls that would be magnified to me for the particular kind of healing I would bring.
It was not an easy choice, it was the fastest way for me to resolve as much karma as possible on the planet in one lifetime.
Healers are like multidimensional house keepers, we are helping to clean up all the leftover debris from our mischievousness over the millennia.
So, go easy on yourself if you are walking the healer path, and take in the rewards from your hard work!
